In a matter of days the Youth Olympics will get underway, with Bermuda being represented by three athletes, swimmers Madelyn Moore, Kai Legband and track & field athlete Clevonte Lodge-Bean.
Bermuda’s Chef de Mission Zoenique Williams can’t wait for things to get going.
The Buenos Aires 2018 Opening Ceremony will be an Olympic celebration like no other on October 6th.
The streets are set to burst into life with a display that will celebrate gender equality, inclusiveness and Argentina’s Latin spirit.
Competitions will begin October 7th and run through October 18th.
Williams knows that there will be some challenges along the way, but she feels that things will work out.
Moore, will compete in the Women’s 100m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle.
Legband, will compete in the Men’s 100m Freestyle and 50m Freestyle.
Lodge-Bean, will compete in the Men’s 400 meters.
