OLYMPIC GAMES

The first recorded Olympic Games were held in 776 BC. The IOC, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, sets and enforces Olympic policy. The site of the games is chosen, usually at least six years in advance. The modern summer olympic games have been held in the following places:
