Shelley Pearson took to the waters to compete on day two of the FISA Americas Olympic Continental Qualification Regatta in Curauma, Chile.

Pearson finished first in Semi-Final A/B 1 of the Women’s Single clocking a time of 7:46.1, which was tied for the fastest qualifying time.

Pearson’s is guaranteed a spot in the final which sees her meet the standard to Qualify for the Olympics.

Pearson speaking to following her accomplishment said, “It feels surreal but very exciting!  The Semi-Final was actually a much calmer race compared to yesterday. I had a great start and just continued to push away. There’s a lot less pressure on tomorrow and I’m just excited to go out there and see what I can do.”
