Elite Athletes

Category A

The goal for athletes in this Category is to demonstrate, by consistent performance, that they have the potential to achieve Category “A” status as approved by the BOA Standards Committee. Athletes in this Category will be supported with funding for BOA accepted number of international competitions per year commencing immediately upon ratification by the BOA Executive Board and lasting through March 31st. They will be expected to compete and achieve performance results of comparable standards in these competitions.

Category B

The goal for athletes in this Category is to demonstrate, by consistent performance, that they have the potential to achieve Category “A” status as approved by the BOA Standards Committee. Athletes in this Category will be supported with funding for BOA accepted number of international competitions per year commencing immediately upon ratification by the BOA Executive Board and lasting through March 31st. They will be expected to compete and achieve performance results of comparable standards in these competitions.

Category C

The goal for athletes in this Category is to demonstrate, by consistent performance, that they have the potential to achieve Category “B” status as approved by the BOA Standards Committee. Athletes in this Category will be supported with funding for BOA accepted number of international competitions per year commencing immediately upon ratification by the BOA Executive Board and lasting through March 31st. They will be expected to compete and achieve performance results of comparable standards in these competitions.
