The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) announced the launching of a groundbreaking safeguarding programme in the Americas region, entitled Judy’s Legacy, in honour of Bermuda Olympic Association Past President Judy Simons.
The programme, aimed at strengthening safeguarding practices across Commonwealth sport in the Americas, was named in recognition of Judy Simons’ outstanding contributions to the sport community and her tireless advocacy for athlete welfare and protection. Simons, who passed away in January 2024, served as BOA President for many years and was a dedicated advocate for safe sport.
